The
People
Risky
Business was designed and created by members of the Gila County Teen
Risks and Resiliency Coalition and the University of Arizona Gila County
Cooperative Extension. Two teens worked together to program the CD during
their senior year of high school.
The
Funding
The
project was funded by the Flinn Foundation of Phoenix, Arizona. The
Flinn Foundation is a philanthropic organization that grants funds in
the fields of health, education, and the arts. The foundation's mission
is "to improve the quality of life in Arizona."
Taking
the Show on the Road
In
February 2000, the CD was showcased at the Healthy People 2010 conference
in Washington, D.C. The creators were the only teens at the conference.
Their booth was very popular and they received a special recognition
from the podium.
