Areawide Insect Trapping Network (March 7, 2018)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains seasonably low in most locations, but we had a spike in activity in the south Yuma Valley.

Beet armyworm: Moth activity is low in all locations.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper moth below normal over the past 2 weeks, and down considerably compared to this time last season.

Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps remain seasonably low, similar to last season.

Thrips: Thrips activity was low in all locations consistent with cold weather we experienced the past 2 weeks.

Aphids: Trap activity for aphids is down in most traps locations, comparable to last season. However, aphids captured on traps were green peach aphids.

Leafminers: Adult activity remain at seasonal low levels at all trap locations; activity considerably lower than this time last year.

Diamondback moth: Moth activity is at seasonal low levels with in most locations. The colder temperatures during the past 14 days has had an impact on moth activity.
