Dean Sander is scheduling a joint meeting for Department Heads/School Directors, Ag Center Directors and County Extension Directors on May 6 from 10:00-1:30 at the Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC, 1951 East Roger Road). CEDs will continue to meet from 1:30-5:00 to discuss potential budget formula allocations. CEDs, please put this on your calendars. Full agenda items will be developed by the end of April.
The results of the Strategic Planning Retreats for the 4-H Youth Development, ANR, and FCHS are available on our Strategic Planning Web site (cals.arizona.edu/extension/employee/internal/strategicplanning.html). Our thanks to everyone for their participation in this important process. The next step will be analyzing the results of the Stakeholder Survey (www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Z_2bBY8H3Uoc2fJuKyOeRXHQ_3d_3d) (due by March 11) to help determine the signature program area priorities for future Arizona Cooperative Extension programs. If you have not already done so, please fill out the survey at the link above and contact 5-10 key stakeholders/clientele that you work with and request that they complete this Web-based Strategic Planning Stakeholder Survey.
Arizona Cooperative Extension would like to announce an open call for proposals to the 4-H2O Replenish Mini-grant sponsored by Coca-Cola and the National 4-H Council. These grants hope to promote a culture of conservation by funding the installation of 6-8 rainwater harvesting demonstration projects and education of 4-H youth and adults.
