Watershed Model
We all live in a watershed where sediment and pollutants are carried by runoff (water running over the land). This model demonstrates how water flows over the land moving from high to low elevation in a watershed.
Incredible Journey Kit
This kit includes everything needed to teach students about the incredible journey that water molecules travel through the water cycle. Students visit nine stations as they mark their own Water Journey Map and create a colorful keepsake bracelet.
Ground Water Flow Model
This three dimensional model composed of layers of sediment represents an aquifer and features pumping, injection and testing wells, surface water bodies and artesian wells. This learning tool demonstrates ground water flow and surface water-to-ground water connection.
Healthy Water, Healthy People Water Quality Testing Kits
Rivers, Streams, Ponds and Lakes: This kit allows students to test water for basic parameters (temperature, pH, conductivity, total dissolved solids and turbidity) as well as conduct colorimetric tests or titrations to detect alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, nitrates and phosphates.
Classroom Drinking Water: This kit allows students to test water for alkalinity, chlorine, copper, hardness, iron, microbiology nitrate and pH.
Enviroscape Watershed Education Tools
This model is a hands-on tool that connects what we do on land to what happens in our rivers, lakes, arroyos, and even in our ground water. Various themed Enviroscapes are available i.e. wastewater treatment, non-point source pollution, point source pollution, etc.
Arizona Water History Trunk
This teaching tool provides comparisons of water technologies found in Arizona now and in the previous century. Historic photos provide a window in to past water-related practices. This is a dynamic preface to discussions about social change, water conservation and the impacts of technology on daily life.
Macroinvertebrate Investigation Kit (Macropack)
This kit has everything needed to help students collect sort, identify, analyze, monitor and understand the importance of macroinvertebrates in determining the quality of a local stream or river.
Sum of the Parts Kit
Students learn the difference between point and non-point-source pollution and come away with ideas on how to reduce their impact on the river system.
Video Lending Library
A collection of water-related videos is available for check out. With a wide variety of topics, these can be fantastic supplementary teaching tools in classrooms or nontraditional educational settings.

English Spanish/Bilingual
