Arizona Conserve Water - Arizona's State-specific Curriculum Guide

Project WET curricula are top quality and effective because of the process by which these resources are developed. Lessons are developed by many teachers and resource specialists working together to identify the most important key concepts and the most appropriate teaching methods. Arizona Project WET uses these curriculum guides because they are the best available!

Arizona Project WET has been involved in the development of all Project WET curriculum guides and is the first state to develop a stand-alone, state-specific curriculum guide. Arizona specific relevancy is brought out in all APW workshops.

In addition to large-scale curriculum development, Arizona Project WET works with school districts across the state to enhance existing curricula. APW has integrated Project WET activities into the Full Option Science System (FOSS) Water Science Kit in partnership with the Tucson Unified, Sunnyside Unified, Flagstaff Unified, Deer Valley and Murphy School Districts in a way that is relevant to each area's local water supply and management strategies.

Deer Vallly FOSS/WET Integration '07Arizona Project WET has developed a 6th grade water in the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere unit that is being used in districts across the state.

Water is essential to all life. APW will continue to promote responsible stewardship of our most precious resource, water, through on-going, effective curriculum development and delivery at all academic levels.

Water is essential to all life. It is a subject that all Arizona students should learn about.
